My journey into bookkeeping began in 2007, almost by accident. I applied for a job at a brand-new accounting firm opening in Red Deer, not really knowing what a bookkeeping job would involve. To my surprise, I quickly discovered a passion for it. There was something deeply satisfying about solving the puzzles that bookkeeping often presented, and the sense of accomplishment that came with organizing a clean, accurate set of books. But what I truly loved most was the opportunity to help business owners gain clarity on their finances. Seeing how that clarity empowered them to make informed decisions about their businesses gave me a sense of purpose.

After 17 years of gaining experience and honing my skills, I realized my dream of owning my own business when I founded Aura Bookkeeping in 2024. My goal is simple: to help Alberta small businesses achieve their own dreams—whether that’s growth, stability, or simply more peace of mind when it comes to their financials.

I know firsthand how stressful managing money can be, and I bring that understanding into my work. My aim is to take the burden of bookkeeping off your shoulders so you can focus on what you love—running your business. Whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for years, I’m here to help you find clarity and confidence in your finances.

I currently live in Edmonton with my soon-to-be husband and our two cats. When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying a cozy night in with my family or exploring the local community.
